The Depot was a part of the Sacramento landscape for over 50 years and was in operation through the Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm wars. Colonel Joseph J. Healy was the Depot founder, and was the one who almost single-handedly pushed for a permanent facility in case future pacific conflict arose.
